This is a ipod touch 2g jailbreak program for windows, personally i did not use windows or this method to jailbreak my ipod touch but according to ipod touch fan forum this works and this program is also taken from the forum so i do have have any credit over this program. Thank You so much for the creator who has kindly enough to spend his time to write up a GUI for novice users.

Easy to use 5-step process to Jailbreak your 2.2.1 firmware iPod
Support to use your own Custom Boot Logo (or use included 8)
Support to install Installer optionally (Cydia will always be installed)
Full DFU instructions for Pre-Jailbreak
iPod recognition of current connection state
Follow instructions carefully and you may need to download pervious firmwares. I personally do not take any responsibility for anything you do to your ipod, try it at your own risk.

I realized that I forgot to install USBLIB so it couldn't apply the patch correctly. After I started over and install that, everything else worked like a charm.
ReplyDeleteNow, I *think* I got it jailbroken. I see the new logo, I can see the Cydia and Installer icons. What am I supposed to do next? :)

one of the main reason for jailbreak is that user can gain more control over there device and also the ability to run unsigned apps, this increase the productivity of the ipod itself.

Winterboard - allows to pimp up you ipod by adding themes
Backgrounder - allows apps to be running in the background (multitasking)
MxTube - downloads youtube video straight to your ipod
open SSH - allows you to transfer files wirelessly from your computer to ipod
Installous - the ability to download and installed cracked apps
You can find most of these in Cydia but some you will need to repo for before you can get it. Just let me know what you need and i will give you a hand.
